How come to some people, killing the innocent does not seem wrong. Like the China's government at the time of the tank man video. Someone had to make the decision to kill all those innocent people during the protest, what made them think it was o.k. to do so? What runs through their mind that makes them think something so wrong is fine and that they have control over the life of others?

I think that the government does this because they "need" to be in control. If they just let people do whatever they want, then the citizans will feel like the government has no control and they will do something bad, or the people will freak out about not having the government in controll. that is why i think that the government was so "over reactive". By the way, my sister, Claire says hi to you. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a really good question. I think in some cases people are raised being prejudiced againt certain people. I also think that maybe satan tempts people into killing innocent. I'm sure anyone who kills an innocent person is overcome with remorse soon after.Your question sort of related to a book I was reading earlier today written by a survivor of the 1994 Rwandan genocide. according to the author nieghbors and family friends took part in killing many other friends. Maybe in the tankman video the government people were afraid that they would be killed by whoever was in charge of them if they didn't kill others. These are just guesses, I still don't understand how anyone could kill an innocent human being (or pig:-))
ReplyDeleteI agree with both of you. I don't see how someone could not feel bad after killing the innocent, and it could also have to do with wanting to have control over people. Anna, I am glad to see I am not the only one who quotes books :Do As you may have seen I do that a lot when i respond to peoples questions. But the weird thing is, I still have trouble finding evidence from the text.
